Research-based comparisons

We don't "feel" that one sauna is better than another. Every recommendation is reconstructable from documented criteria and verified evidence.

Scoring model

Each product category has its own scoring model with explicit criteria and weights. Scores are calculated from verified data, not subjective impressions.

Typical criteria include:

• Usable capacity — verified interior dimensions, not marketing claims
• Documented electrical requirements — power, voltage, plug type
• Heater technology — type, coverage, documented performance
• Materials and construction — wood species, build quality evidence
• Warranty — terms verified from manufacturer documentation
• Installation complexity — assembly requirements from manuals
• Value — features and quality relative to verified price
• Availability — current Amazon stock status via API

Two separate scores

We distinguish between:

• Product score — how well the product fits the comparison's use case
• Research confidence — how complete and verified the underlying data is

A product with high features but weak evidence will not rank first.

Ranking explanations

Every "Best Overall", "Best for Small Spaces", or similar label must be justifiable from facts and scoring criteria. No opaque rankings.

Health and safety

We avoid medical and health claims. Sauna products are compared on physical, electrical, and construction characteristics — not unproven health benefits.
