“Regular sauna use reduces cardiovascular mortality”

Strong evidence · 2 studies · traditional

Multiple long-term prospective studies from the University of Eastern Finland (Kuopio Ischemic Heart Disease study, 20+ years, 2,300+ men) show a dose-dependent reduction in fatal cardiovascular events with 4–7 sauna sessions per week.

⚠ CaveatObservational data — cannot prove causation. Participants were middle-aged Finnish men; generalization to other populations is plausible but not confirmed.
